户外铜器按 2–3 年一个养护周期：软毛刷加去离子水除尘洗盐（禁用酸与钢丝刷），局部异常绿锈（点蚀）用柠檬酸棉敷 10–20 min 中和后清水擦净；干燥后涂 3% BTA 缓蚀剂，再覆 Incralac 或微晶蜡两薄层（间隔 24 h）。海边与酸雨区周期缩至 1 年。青铜雕像的稳定铜绿应保留不除，只做盐洗与封护。每次养护拍照建档并测干膜厚度（20–40 µm）确保封护完整；高空作业须与专业清洗队配合并做安全预案。
Outdoor copperwork runs a 2–3-year care cycle: wash off dust and salts with soft brushes and deionized water (never acids or wire brushes), neutralize localized bright-green pustules with citric-acid poultices for 10–20 min and rinse clean; once dry, brush on 3% BTA corrosion inhibitor, then two thin coats of Incralac or microcrystalline wax 24 h apart. Coastal and acid-rain sites tighten the cycle to one year. Stable patina on bronze statuary should be kept, not stripped — only salt-wash and reseal it. Photograph and log each service, checking dry-film thickness (20–40 µm) for coverage; high work goes to professional crews with a safety plan.
