乌银最宜用于银、高铜合金（如青铜、黄铜），因硫化物与这些金属结合好；纯铁/钢易锈且结合差，不推荐。选基底时应考虑热膨胀系数匹配，避免冷却时剥离。

Niello works best on silver and high-copper alloys (bronze, brass) because sulfides bond well; plain iron/steel rusts and bonds poorly—avoid it. Choose a base with a matching thermal expansion coefficient to prevent separation on cooling.
