涂好汞齐的铜器架空于炭火或电热板上，由低温渐升至 350℃ 左右，汞白烟冒尽、表面转杏黄色即金已固结。待冷却用玛瑙压子砑光。一处不够厚可重复"涂汞齐—驱汞" 2–3 遍。驱汞须在负压通风柜进行，操作者佩戴防毒面具， smoker 禁近（汞蒸气燃爆风险）。
Place the amalgam-coated piece above charcoal or a hot plate, raise gradually to ~350℃; when white mercury smoke ceases and the surface turns apricot-yellow, gold has set. Cool, then burnish with an agate tool. For thickness repeat coat-drive 2–3 times. Drive mercury only under negative-pressure extraction with a respirator; no smoking nearby (mercury vapor is explosive). ---
