A 2-h sinking taster: 0–15 min demo of the whole "one disc to bowl" sequence with safety notes; 15–60 min sinking a shallow dish over a stake in concentric rings with mallets; 60–90 min truing the rim, cutting and filing; 90–120 min sulphide patina and take-home. Advanced assignments climb three steps: a shallow pan at ≤15% thinning; a bowl of 0.6 depth-to-diameter with ≤0.1 mm wall variation at four points; then a free-textured deep vessel. Each level files anneal counts, thickness readings and hours, scored on thinning control, symmetry and surface as the gate to the next.
