Rub copper-plate textures onto cotton and linen for interiors: pre-shrink with a 5% PVA spray and press flat (raised fibres take ink better), lay the cloth over an inked plate (about 0.1 mm film), pound vertically with a palm brush and touch up corners with a tampo; heat-set water-based ink at 130 °C for 3 min for 20-plus wash cycles. Coarse linen suits bold motifs; silk over fine plates needs a tissue interleaf to stop smearing. A Hangzhou soft-furnishing studio copies stele patterns into curtains and screens at about 2 h per square metre; use silver powder or white ink on dark grounds.
